LEGENDARY STUDENTS
at first because I expected to be doing
more work that required ‘punching
numbers.’ But we did a lot of diverse
courses, including those in commerce.
That’s when I realised that Quantity
Surveying is such a diverse degree.
The working environment is also very
different to the classroom. When
you’re in a class, most of the time, the
people that you are surrounded by
are more or less the same age as you.
But when you transition to working
in an office, you are surrounded by
people who are older than you. It’s
quite different to university, but it’s
an amazing experience.
What are your goals for the
future?
My goal is to work towards being
registered as a professional quantity
surveyor. After that, I’d like to help
people get to where I am, without
experiencing some of the hassles
that I had to go through. It’s my way
of giving back to the profession by
mentoring people who are still going
to go through this journey.
