environment management practice he
founded in 2001.
He is a former President and
Council Member of the South African
Council for Project & Construction
Management Professions (SACPCMP).
He also served as board member
of the Construction Industry
Development Board SA and is
a former Chairman of the The
Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB)
Gauteng Branch.
He is currently an Adjunct
Professor at the Department of Built
Environment at the Central University
of Technology, Free State.
He graduated from the University
of the Witwatersrand, with a BSc
(Building) in 1994 and also completed
MSc (Building) at the same university
in 2001. He is a Professional
Construction Project Manager
registered with the SACPCMP.

Nyasha Yvonne
Mpemba, MRICS
PrCPM PMP®, who is a member of our
Advisory Board, has accepted the role
of Coordinator of the CEM Alumni
Forum. She will work closely with the
Chair of the Board Catherine Stone, the
rest of the Board and the Department
to develop and rollout specific plans
designed to link the Department’s
extensive alumni network with Staff,
and current and prospective students,
in one unbroken chain.
Nyasha is Programme Manager
at the South African Reserve Bank.
She holds a Master’s degree in
Project Management, a BSc Honours
in Quantity Surveying and a BSc in
Construction Studies, all from the
University of Cape Town. She is a
registered Professional Construction
Project Manager, a Chartered Surveyor
and a certified Project Management
Professional (PMP).
