BOARD
As part of the strategic plan, an
Advisory Board has been constituted,
with the following terms of reference:
To provide the department
with industry insights to inform
curriculum design, teaching
methodologies, research and social
responsiveness.
To provide the department with
feedback and advice on the
department’s strategic plans and
initiatives.
To provide the department
with corporate insights so as to
support efficient and effective
administrative operations
To act as brand ambassadors
for the department, to promote
the name and interests of the
department, staff, students and
graduates in industry.
To act as the focal point for
organising and leveraging the
departments alumni network
in support of the department
strategic plans and initiatives.
Professions (SACPCMP), South
African Council for the Quantity
Surveying Profession (SACQSP)
and South African Council for
the Property Valuers Profession
(SACPVP). Members of the Board
come from, or have experience of, all
the three sectors of society, namely
the corporate sector, the not-forprofit sector and government.

Anthea is Chief
Executive Officer for
the Communicare
group of companies and has worked
on the development of sustainable
human settlements for nearly three
decades. CommunicareNPC is a
social enterprise providing affordable
rental housing in Cape Town. The
organisation owns and manages a
residential portfolio of over 3300
apartments in well located Cape Town
suburbs and a growing commercial
portfolio. Using an innovative funding

three statutory bodies that accredit
our programmes, namely South
