informed by the latest pedagogy
and is responsive to the
changed social and professional
environment.
Research to ensure impactful
fundamental and applied research
that is responsive to the big
challenges of our context in Africa.
Social responsiveness to ensure
that the knowledge and skills
of the department are applied
systematically and effectively in the
service of society, in partnership
with the professions, civil society
and government.
Surveying at both undergraduate
and postgraduate level, and for
social responsiveness.
The Department shall pursue these
strategic objectives via three strategic
