CONTRIBUTORS
MANYA M. MOOYA is Professor and currently Head of
Department of CEM, and Man Friday and raconteur of
the academic enterprise. He has a crippling passion
for cattle ranching, and of the Brahman cattle breed.
ASHLEY ALLARD is currently completing her Masters’ in
Creative Writing at the University of Cape Town. She is
the co-founder and co-editor of Low Altitude, a Western
Cape online literary journal. She enjoys baking, reading and
walking along the Promenade with friends whenever she is
not struggling to meet her next academic or professional
deadline.
KUDZAI MHANGWA is a fiction and non-fiction writer from
Harare, Zimbabwe. He is currently reading for his Masters
in Creative writing at UCT. When he is not wrestling with
endless deadlines from his editors and professors, he enjoys
walks in the park and meeting up with friends for
a hearty laugh.
CANDICE LOVIN is a long-time friend and colleague of
the CEM Department – once a part of the UCT furniture,
now an independent ‘momtrepreneur’. Candice is
a digital storyteller whose primary means of narration
is photography, social media marketing and design
which she now uses to serve the local community
through her company, Haylo Creative.
ANTHEA WILLIAMS is the Department Manager of CEM,
where she expertly juggles drafting processes and HR
contracts like a pro! When she’s not busy in the office, you’ll
find her basking in the joyful chaos of her grandkids or
binge-watching her latest favourite series. Anthea’s got the
perfect balance of professionalism and playful fun – proving
that work and play can go hand in hand!
