Tell us a bit about yourself.
My name is Eryne Bowers. I am
studying towards a BSc (Honours)
in Quantity Surveying (QS). This year
I have been elected as the student
representative for the QS class. I grew
up in Cape Town, where I attended
St Cyprian’s School for my schooling
career. I have come to truly adore
this city and could not picture my
upbringing anywhere else, hence
finding myself at the University of
Cape Town for my tertiary education.

How have you found your
experience at UCT so far?
My experience in honours so far has
been interesting to say the least.
This year is definitely a jump from
undergrad, and thus I have found
myself being challenged in ways I
have not been before. The academic
demand is far greater but I am
nevertheless grateful to be pushed
in this way, because it has shown
me I can achieve things I was not
