positive learning environment. The role
has also honed my organisational skills.
Managing communication channels,
and staying on top of deadlines have all
been crucial aspects of representing the
class effectively.
What are your future
aspirations? What do you plan
on pursuing after graduation?
My future aspirations lie in the
exciting field of asset management.
I plan to pursue opportunities that
will foster my current understanding
of asset management practices.
This may involve an internship or
entry-level position with a reputable
company with an asset management
department. Through handson experience, I hope to gain a
deeper understanding of portfolio
analysis, risk management, and the
implementation of effective asset
management strategies. I plan to
use what I’ve learnt from my studies,
coupled with the practical skills I aim
to develop, to allow me to contribute
meaningfully to the successful
management of property assets.

Do you have any advice for
prospective students and
applicants who wish to be where
you are now?
Success in property requires genuine
passion. This fuels your curiosity and

throughout your academic journey.
Join a relevant society that allows

events and societies, like WPN, has
been instrumental for me. It fostered
connections with thedepartment and
professionals, leading to insightful career
guidance and, in my case, vacation
work opportunities. Furthermore, to
gain practical experience, seek out
internships and vacation work. As the
saying goes, “Experience is the better
teacher.” Working in the field provides
a holistic understanding – it bridges the
gap between theory and practice. It’s
a fantastic way to demonstrate your
genuine interest in the industry while
building connections with established
professionals.

How have you found your
leadership position in the
department? What has it
taught you?
Transitioning into the role of class
representative has been a rewarding
experience. It has given me insight into
leadership and helped me connect
better with my fellow students. Most
importantly, it has created a sense
of community within the program.
Collaborating with the department
and students has been a valuable
opportunity to learn from different
perspectives and advocate for a
