My name is Luyandza Khoza. I am
a fourth-year student pursuing a
Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree
in Property Studies. I am honoured
to be serving as the 2024 Honours
Property Studies Class Representative.
Additionally, I hold the position of
Chairperson for the Women’s Property
Network (WPN) Society.
In my leisure time, I find a great deal
of enjoyment in playing the guitar. It
offers a creative outlet that allows me
to express myself musically. It serves
as a welcome respite and a source
of personal satisfaction. I find myself
particularly drawn to Formula One
racing. The combination of cutting-edge
engineering, strategic decision-making,
and drivers’ immense physical skill
creates a truly captivating spectacle.
strong theoretical foundation and
passion for the industry. The practical
applications of the concepts we
learn have been incredibly valuable,
and I feel confident I’m gaining
the necessary skills to navigate
the complexities of the property
market. I’m particularly enjoying the
mathematical intricacies of Property
Investment & Finance and Property
Economics. The lecturers’ incredible
knowledge and passion havefostered
my enthusiasm and curiosity.

What made you pursue this
degree?
Captivation with the property
market’s dynamic naturedrew me to
this degree. I was intrigued by the
retrofitting of property and wanted
to have a deeper understanding
of the why, how and when of the
industry. The intricate interplay of
finance, development, and investment
strategies in shaping the built
environment is incredibly stimulating.
This program offers a comprehensive
understanding of these factors,
equipping me with the knowledge and
skills to pursue a fulfilling career in the
property sector, potentially in areas

experience so far?
My experience as a Property
Studies student has beenvery
enriching. The coursework, though
sometimes challenging, has been
engaging and provided me with a
